"You will not manipulate me." She said, her voice trembling with anger as she stood a foot from him, her hands flexing instinctively, missing the tug in her stomach, missing her full power. "You are nothing but a trickster; how can you actually expect me to trust you?"

Moments after Loki Laufeyson is apprehended by the Avengers during the Battle Of New York, a mysterious portal appears over Stark Tower, a crimson star, shining bright in the sky. A woman is thrown from it, bleeding and terrified, pressing a knife into the God of Mischief's throat.
