"The Wide-Eyed Woman & Other Midnight Tales" is a collection of fifteen fantastic/horror short stories, nearly all set in the capital of Brazil. In the main story, which gives its title to the book, a man awakens in the middle of the night and is surprised by the presence of a woman sitting at the edge of his bed. The slightest movement from the man causes the specter to tilt her head slightly to the side; a sequence of movements would make the woman's neck turn completely, leaving no other option but to face her in the eyes. An atmosphere of anguish, helplessness, and imminent chaos pervades these midnight tales, inviting the reader to immerse themselves in an intriguing and frightening universe.All Rights Reserved
