War has raged through Breland for six years. Thousands dead. Thousands enslaved. And not a single one willing to stand up for justice.

****

Rosalee is an orphan. She's one of the tyrannical government's secret messengers. Someone who's trusted to keep secrets. Someone who maybe shouldn't be.

It's said her parents died for her. Romeo and Juliet style. It's said her mother was shot whilst protecting her. It's said her father saw her mother's death and killed himself. Rosalee didn't believe them, yet she always used to listen to what they said. Always used to listen to everyone but herself.

Used to.

After almost dying, she's rescued by Zeb, an enemy, and offers to work for him to pay off her debt. After a few months, she begins to realise that Zeb knows more about herself than she does. Could he know something about her true identity?

As a bond begins to develop between them, Rosalee learns more and more about who she really is.

Will she discover the part of her that everyone's hiding? And will she like this new reality?
