In the dark without a light

In the dark I hear them calling
In the night I turn to run
In my dreams I feel I'm falling
What are bullets without a gun

I wait for shadows to pass me by
Death came and went
I turn my hollow eyes to the sky
I wonder if you were heaven sent

In the light I see them coming
In the rays of light I stand
In my thoughts I feel I'm cunning
My life has went without a plan

I think my heart has turned to stone
I cant feel a thing
In a room full of strangers im so alone
I'd welcome the pain
