The Clone War had come to an end. The Jedi Rebellion had been squashed with the Clone troopers executing the Jedi. Unfortunately, the so called "Jedi Rebellion" had caused some casualties. 

The Empire was cementing its place as the new government of the galaxy, and with it comes a new senator of Naboo. The senator will help transition Naboo from the Republic to the Empire, but not without a few challenges and secrets of her own. Not only did she have to juggle her new duties as senator, but also her grief that threatens to consume her at any moment. 

She will meet a certain squad of deserter clones along the way, but are they friend or foe? Can they help her heal and teach her to move on, or will she simply self-destruct on herself and everyone around her?

These deserters seem to bring trouble whenever she's around. Or perhaps the title "Senator of Naboo" is cursed.

The Bad Batch: Tech and Vel by CT-9902

During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech. Tech questioned just as a shuttle zoomed onto the landing deck. The ramp to the shuttle lowered and the famous Jedi general Mace Windu walked down the ramp beside another Jedi in bronze armor. Lighting flashed across the sky as the rain poured down upon the two Jedi. "That Is Jedi General Celine Kryze and she is far from the normal Jedi." Fives nodded as he walked away. The sound of metal clanking against mental as the Jedi approached. "Master Kryze this is the squad I was telling you about." General Windu nodded. "I see, you must be the sergeant of this squad," Celine confirmed. At a very young life, Celine Kryze vowed to live by the Jedi code, but that changes when she meets a small boy from a desert planet named Anakin Skywalker. As time goes on she learns to love and supports her little brother. However, her peaceful life on Coruscant was quickly interrupted by the start of the Clone Wars. If you want to read a slow burn about Crosshair, this is for you. It is completely cannon compliant and fun to read if you have seen the first season. It fits into the season as if it was always a part of what was happening. What if Crosshair stays with the empire because he has more there that just being a good soldier to come back to? Written in novel format based on Season 1 of the Bad Batch, this is a platonic romance that dives into the darkness of what Kamino has done to the clones and what the future holds for them after Order 66 and the enactment of War-Mantle. As an author, I enjoy looking deeper at the issues of interpersonal drama woven together with politics.
