A story I wrote in my creative writing class 10th grade year [and for this very reason I will making major edits to this in the near-ish future] ______ Ellen Clayton is a girl on a mission: she wants to make everyone happy. She knows, of course this will be more than just a simple five step plan, but she is more than willing to take up the challenge. She's always been a shy girl and she's made some mistakes in the past, but she's looking at her family's move and her enrollment in a fancy boarding school as a chance to start afresh. She heads into the new school year pumped and ready to begin her challenge, but her meeting with a particularly grumpy student throws her for a loop. However, Ellen is nowhere near ready to give up. After all- what are burritos, sassy cousins, and deadly marshmallows to a determined 15 year old?

My life began in simplicity. I yearned for what any average girl would dream to become, in a world where expectations flourish, yet still being gullible to realise. Like a princess, or even possibly a narcissistic little girl who wants everything to herself, I disregarded the stories told to me during my bedtimes. That 'Beauty and the Beast' was only a figment of one's imagination. That a palace was even a torture ground to those who have absolute control over it, all its inhabitants, and all that are affected by it.
