"Be a game changer! Life is a game, and the world is already full of players."

***

An unfair System exists in the world. An omnipotent and omniscient one. Despite its game-like interface, the system was, in fact, nowhere close to a game. It controlled the paths of every living being within its range.

And so, the Will of the Universe took action.

"The Proof of Declarators will awaken upon reaching the Edge, and the world's game will be broken by the Declarators."

It was a prophecy that Eric Holton, the last of the Family of Declarators, fulfilled. The 'Proof of Declarators' awakened, and Eric, the last of them, inherited a Gift from the universe-Gift of the Forgotten. As his life changed drastically, he will soon come to remember..

That this life is a journey he had experienced countless times before. A pointless adventure filled with sorrow and sacrifices.

He continued his role that day. Instead of a mere pawn on the board, he will become an existence outside of it-a revolutionary who will stop the accursed game.

𝟏𝟖+| I was said to be 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞... 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. I had heard it so much in my life that it had manifested into a truth that remained rock solid in my brain. It consumed every surface of my body and mind like a deadly cancer It had become a promise to myself. A reminder. A standard. It was a rule applied to every person in my life, except him... He was the same as I was; no matter how different our outside identities were. We were cut from the same cloth on the inside. There was no denying that he and I were both broken souls left in a broken world. Both craving an eternal slumber before we met, but his darkness played so well with mine that suddenly it began feeling more like light, warmth, goodness... a happy ending. "...𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲... 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂," --------------------------- Partying. That was the one thing Chandler did best, and everyone in town knew that. But when one of her parties get out of hand and the cops are called, she's in for a rude awakening as she comes face to face with the new guy in town: Officer Herrera. He's wasn't like the usual officers she dealt with, and she finds that out quite quickly as she gets dragged away to jail for the night. They both wish to never see each other again, but there was something stronger than their dislike for each other keeping them together. The stronger their dislike grows, the more attached they become, until the lines become so blurred that they can't tell the difference between hatred and love anymore. They could say they hated each other, but if anything, a small part of them knew it would turn into love. If that love would last once everything was revealed... It was only a matter of time before they found out. ----

"Daddy, please don't turn off the lights. The monsters will find me." Ana pleaded as she pulled the covers up to her nose. "Don't worry, Ana. There's no such thing as monsters." Frank answered before flexing dramatically, earning a giggle from her, "Besides, if they tried to hurt you, I'd just beat 'em up!" "Promise?" "Promise." He kissed her forehead before he tucked her in and turned off the light. "Goodnight, angel." --- The world changed overnight. A mysterious system appeared in everyone's minds announcing the detection of a "Breach." Monsters unlike anything humanity had ever seen before began to emerge, immediately ending one-third of the world's population. And that was just in the beginning. Every father wants to be their daughter's hero. It's an unspoken rule written into every man's DNA. But most fathers aren't pitted up against eight legged abominations. Frank was just an ordinary man; no training, no experience, just depression and a four year old. Yet, he was all that stood between Ana and certain death. If that's the way it was, then he couldn't back down. He made a promise, and he would keep it or die trying. Luckily, the world wasn't entirely merciless. This "System" granted humanity a fighting chance: otherworldly gifts and powers that defied the laws of nature. While Frank's gift wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, it did give him power. Power enough to hopefully keep his daughter safe, and punish the monsters that dared threaten her in the first place!

Something had happened in Fae, something so big that it broke the number one rule. Whatever had happened, was big enough to affect the humans. First there had been rumours that the mass die off of politicians and top international business leaders had been targeted in the largest revolt in all of history. When no group came forward to claim responsibility, eventually someone noticed a pattern, that nearly all the dead, were known to be corrupt. Whatever had happened, Rhys wasn't going to stick around in the cities to see what had happened. He grabbed his bike, and took off, planning to set up in some remote mountain. Ride out whatever disaster was coming. Fate however, had other plans, and Rhys found himself in the middle of exactly what he had been running away from.
