I knock on the door; I'm greeted by Lando, who goes from a grin to sheer shock in half a second. His eyes are fixed on the Dutchman at my side. His brain is working so fast to process the unspoken information; his mouth is still open from the hello that died as he tried to speak it.

"Lando!" Max isn't even fazed. He takes it all in stride, hugging the very confused Lando Norris whilst I slip past, into the house, seeing James looking at me with a can of coke in one hand and his other pointing at me as he grins maniacally.

"I KNEW IT!"

I slam the brake pedal as I try to move to the side of Daniel, but my car snaps, shunting into him. The force sends his car away from the barrier, clipping the rear of the McLaren. I go flying into the barrier, dangerously close to the orange car-
