Orphaned at the age of five after a car accident claimed the lives of her parents, Alice was passed back and forth between relatives. Adults and peers alike ostracized Alice for being different, for claiming to see things that weren't there. Lonely and desperate to find somewhere to call home Alice sold herself to the auction house, where she met the mysterious Elias Thorn. Who rescued her and would go on to adopt her and teach her about the world that remained hidden from the eyes of most humans. Her adoptive father taught at an established institute and university for supernaturals, providing refuge for mortals and supernaturals alike. Alice's closest friends are young vampire prince and a troubled young man who was taken in by Elias Thorn as an apprentice.
Alice attends a normal school and tries to maintain a balance of normalcy as much as possible. However, that's soon changes when Alice begins experiencing horrifying visions, and the ever-looming threat of the war draws near. Alice is forced to join the university, where she will join the cram school to train as a hunter.
As Alice learns more about the world she was previously side-lined from, she begins to discover more about her past. But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is a pivotal player in this deadly war, which she could solely determine the future of. Now Alice will learn just how far she'll go to save the people she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil and the hunters that follow him; and be torn between the forbidden love she finds with the young vampire prince destined to ascend the throne and the love with the young hunter, who hides a dark secret.
