Cassadee has had a traumatic childhood; both her mother and father abused her. She grew up seventeen years of her life knowing never to speak up and to always do what she was told. The slaps, kicks, and punches still remained fresh on her brain even after she was taken away from them. She couldn't stand closer than two feet from someone and she didn't speak- ever. Cassadee didn't dare open up; At least, until she met Ryder. Ryder wasn't too excited to learn he'd be obtaining a foster sister; he already had a younger one that made him want to pull his hair out. But as soon as he got one look at Cassadee, he can't help but love her. She was gorgeous, yes, but she was also broken; even Ryder could see that. Ryder slowly finds himself going out of his way for the mysteriously quiet girl. The question is, what happens when the two fall for each other?

I look down at my hands and start crying again, "I-i'm sorry, Jayden."
He pulls me onto his lap and hugs me, I put my shaking hand on his cheek, "Jayden... I'm sorry I couldn't keep him from finding out. He said next time it's gonna be me or you... he told me I can't see you anymore." I say into his neck.
He pulls away from the hug and wraps his arms around my waist, "then there won't be a next time."
"W-w-what do you mean?" I ask with more tears falling down my face.
"I mean, there won't be a next time. We're running away." . . . Eighteen year old twins Vivian and Rosey, have been abused their entire life. Never loved, cared for, and always left to try to stay alive alone. But when Jayden walks in, everything changes. Vivian doesn't understand the love she feels and believes that Jayden deserves more than what she has to give him. And with every aching moment she spends trying to figure out when he's going to turn against her and become just like her parents, comes more pain. Two years after she runs away, she's left with only her lover and something she never thought she'd have the chance to love and hold. With the fear of Jayden leaving and her father finding her to finish her off, she stays alert to try to keep her family and herself safe from harm. But what if he finds them and takes all that she has left?
