Cassadee has had a traumatic childhood; both her mother and father abused her. She grew up seventeen years of her life knowing never to speak up and to always do what she was told. The slaps, kicks, and punches still remained fresh on her brain even after she was taken away from them. She couldn't stand closer than two feet from someone and she didn't speak- ever.  Cassadee didn't dare open up; At least, until she met Ryder.

Ryder wasn't too excited to learn he'd be obtaining a foster sister; he already had a younger one that made him want to pull his hair out.
