When Gerard overdoses, he is sent to the hospital. He is informed that he has to stay and be kept under watch for the time being. Frank finds out he has Leukemia, and immediately starts treatment. Since the two's rooms are right across from each other, they become friends. Soon, though, they are off with an unusual truth in their friendship, and they dump the crate of troubles right at their feet.
