Brooke Summers believes that she's broken, shattered, unable to be fixed. Her life has been turned upside down after a tragic relationship. Unable to recover, she builds diamond walls around her, which leads people to believe she's "perfect". The truth is, she has herself trapped in a wall that is nearly impossible to break.

Damian Scott knows it when someone needs help. When he walks in his new class, he immediately notices a girl with beautiful eyes. However, it's not the beauty that he notices, it's the emptiness and lack of emotion. With full knowledge of what will become of someone like her, he sets his heart on fixing her.

With the help of Damian, maybe, just maybe, Brooke will be okay.

Once upon a time... That's how all the fairytales begin, right? There's a girl who's mistreated and misunderstood. She meets a guy--probably the most popular guy in school (and hey, why not make him British while we're at it?). He's most likely very handsome and just as rich, and magically seems to understand her. It feels like they've known each other forever when in fact they've actually just met. It's love at first sight, the guy saves the girl from whatever misery she's in, they meet only two or three problems along the way, and then it's happily ever after. But this isn't a fairytale.
