(Anakin X Reader) (AU) When the Queen of a kingdom under threat runs out of options, she is forced to commit to a betrothal to a man she can't stand.  (Y/N) and Anakin have never met, but his reputation precedes him - an insufferable emperor who is always at war, she can't imagine having to co-rule alongside someone with so little regard for his people. But her kingdom is falling under further threat of being conquered, and the remaining funding must go to sustaining the citizens. In order to gain the military might of the infamous Empire, she'll have to commit to it - and sacrifice her life as she knows it for her people.

Anakin and Obi-Wan have just rescued the Chancellor and returned to planet side safe and sound. Anakin has finally had his long awaited reunion with Padmé. But it doesn't last for long. From there, things that Luna would normally handle alone are unwilling for her to be able to take care of, and another memory is added to the ever growing pile stitched behind a wall for past memories she doesn't want to think about. Balance and Victory: A Star Wars Alternate Universe [COMPLETED!] by AuroraSkywalker

Anakin Skywalker will not become Darth Vader. Not yet, anyway. Padmé saved him from a lifetime of regret by pulling him out of the fateful battle between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine. But at some point, he still has to decide if his heart lies with the Jedi or the Sith. Palpatine, undeterred by the loss of his potential apprentice, still devises a way to create the Empire and wipe out the vast majority of the Jedi. He sends various threats directly to Anakin and Padmé to convince them that they and their newborn children are in danger. Fearing for their safety, they split. For years, Anakin and Leia wander throughout the galaxy, dodging the Empire and searching for a greater purpose. Meanwhile, Padmé raises Luke while working with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to lead the fight against the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin is constantly tempted by the Dark Side. Padmé struggles to help the Rebels succeed. Their children mean everything to both of them. The story also features other characters we all know and love, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. Most of the story takes place 7 years after Revenge of the Sith.
