Just a lighthearted sibling novel.

Petty teenage siblings interactions.

Guaranteed laughter.

Ivan Sullivan is the typical older brother turned legal guardian. His catch phrase is 'don't meet trouble halfway'. Of course, his advice is something his younger siblings do not listen to. Especially the baby of the family, Huxley.

Petty, sassy, sarcastic, rude, there isn't anything Huxley won't say, or do, to prove she can keep up with the boys. Somehow still sheltered, she encounters plenty of embarrassing situations made worse by overprotective brothers.

Lighthearted takes a twist when past trauma surfaces and memories remind them not all is as it seems. Or, should be. Who really, is Ivan Sullivan, and what terrible secrets is he hiding?

Stubborn, bullheaded Huxley is about to find out.

Yes, yes he did, you moron. Okay, I've now resorted to talking to myself. God, this night just keeps getting better and better. My legs were weak and I was feeling shaky. Ugh, what's wrong with me? "Black looks good on you, Acacia" My breath hitched as I gradually turned around only to see Damien leaning against the door, smirking at my lingerie-clad figure. His hands tucked deep inside his pockets, his shirt slightly unbuttoned. His thumb playing with the wedding ring on his left hand. A mischievous smirk settled on his lips. A horrified scream left my mouth as I yelled, "D-Damien! Get out!" I covered my chest, almost frantic but he doesn't want me sane, he is driving me crazy! Damien chuckled, lowly, swiftly locking the door, walking closer to me as I moved back, knocking my hairspray down to the ground. His arm wrapped around my bare waist as his hands traced down my back, picking me up and placing me onto the countertop. "Damien, stop" I whispered, lowering my gaze as his fingers slid my strap off my shoulder before his lips trailed down my neck, softly breathing on my sensitive skin. His slender fingers gripping onto my hair, gathering them into a bunch My hands resting on his bare chest before I moved them to his collarbone and his neck. Ever since her oldest brothers revealed some of the truth about their family's past, the 12-year-old soon-to-be-teenager is struggling to come to terms with all the new and partially heart-breaking information. For the first few months of the year, Lily has tried to stay true to her word and not dig any further into their past, at least not until Alex, her guardian, is willing to share more details with the younger kids. However, Lily's patience is slowly running out. So many things are occupying her mind. She is convinced that there is still a lot more to discover about her family, and she is not willing to wait much longer. What is their father's story and can she locate him? How did her sister die? When will she see Finn again? Why is Sean really moving back home? And what is the reason behind her brothers' weirdly secretive behavior? With the help from her friends and some of her siblings, Lily continues her journey of gradually unravelling her family's secrets. Will she be successful? Will the implications of her discoveries slowly dissolve her family or is she able to save these fragile relationships before it is too late? Join Lily once again as she juggles school, friends, family (meetings), the general challenges of growing-up, creepy stalkers, some tragedies and maybe even her first encounter with something akin to a crush in these rather eventful months of her life.
