DN: The Next Kira, Vol 1: Kira's Country

One year after Light's death, a 17-going-on-18-year-old Goth girl and witch named Anna Marie Monroe moves to Japan with an acquaintance named Christy Grim who has dreams of becoming a famous singer. Marie does her best to get used to the lifestyle of Japan because she has no desire to return until she graduates senior year so that she'll be able to get over the breakup between her and a classmate of hers back in Waco, TX known as John Alexander. However, Marie is constantly haunted by Kira in her dreams and the nightmares get even worse when she arrives in Japan. This leaves Marie with so many questions about whether Light Yagami is dead or if he has returned from the grave as a Shinigami.
