This is part of my Forever series. a retelling of the prodigal son story with Joe and Ben. 

Ever since becoming a husband and father, Joe becomes fed up with working for his Pa on the Ponderosa and wants to venture out on his own and create a new and more exciting life for his family when he comes across a mysterious businessman who offers him a job with exciting opportunities. 

Joe takes his family to Boston where his brother, Adam is living with his family. But Adam starts to become suspicious of the man's motives and suspects there's more to this man than he's leading Joe to believe.  

This is an original story I wrote with Joe and Adam. We didn't get many Joe and Adam episodes on the show and I loved exploring their dynamic as the oldest and the youngest brother and as always it's best my Bonanza stories are read in order as they contain characters and events introduced in my Forever story.All Rights Reserved

Bonanza - Book 3 -" Wish I May, Wish I Might..." by JaneLinnegar

We pick up the story line begun in my Books 1 and 2. With a couple of close scrapes thrown in - including a runaway buckboard, and a driverless, out of control stagecoach - and an ultimatum given to a pair of 'unyielding people' - we find Adam can just about handle anything, as he plans, and builds, for his future, and the future of his family. This story is not always going to make sense, ive been sporadically writing it for the past year ish and its more of a vent book then something to be taken seriously. Im sure between the months alot of details have been missed or forgotten, but i have tried to stay as consistent as possible despite. The full story is stretched out over a few different books. All under the same title "I feel like i've lost years i haven't lived yet" Trigger warning: Eating disorders, Sexual assault, Rape, Violence, Severe abuse, kidnapping, Basically anything that you could think may be talked about in the book, it probably is. ------------------------ "Is this finally my life? Do i hold it with both hands? Do i try to live?" Carson is a child who has been in and out of the system for years. Her history leaves something more to be desired from life. More that she can never seem to reach. Atleast, not until she meets Phil and his family, that is. Phil is a man packed full of grief. Having watched his wife die right in front of him in a devestating car accident, he found himself unsure of if he was still fit to raise his boys. Hell, Phil was unsure of alot now a days. So when he got the call asking if he was willing to take in a severely abused young girl, Phil almost said no. But when he looked down at the three boys sitting in his living room, laughing at a random cartoon on an early sunday morning.. Phil couldn't find it in himself to say no to taking the girl. Would this family work out and become a home? Or would Carson be doomed to dift around foster care until she, inevitably, turned eighteen? ------------------------ Once again i am in no way a professional nor do i ever intend to be. Alot of these chapters are slightly based on some experiences ive had, specifically family, sibling, and or friends wise. I use this book as a way to vent my feelings on alot of situations i have personally experienced, while still trying to make it make some sort of sense.

Rose, My Love (Romancing the Ponderosa Book 4) by millieshepherd2002

When in town one day getting supplies, Ben runs into an old acquaintance from before he went to sea. He invites her and her three daughters to stay on the Ponderosa until they can get settled elsewhere since her oldest daughter is Virginia City's new schoolteacher. While catching up on the past with this friend, he realizes that it feels like all those years that they were apart never happened and that they just picked up where they left off. Sparks begin to fly again when she agrees to court him. Together they solve multiple problems and in the end become almost like one family instead of two. Read this fourth and final book of the Romancing the Ponderosa series to see the Cartwright family grow even more! (This is not a standalone book and in order to understand the story the other three books must be read first.)
