Cursed is ShadowClan. A leader who keeps making poor decisions is in charge. His daughter, Swiftkit, is born-- to continue that very curse. As she is raised, she grows further away from her parents' suffocating ideologies, and grows to be anxious and doubtful. Suddenly... left and right, cats she's close to... die. Every time, the clues lead to her-- even though she knows it's not. In the midst of the pain, she meets Ravenpaw...
A ThunderClan medicine cat. Ravenpaw is also anxious, with the temper of a fire. Being the apprentice of a cat with an even worse temper, he finds no peace. He wants to be a warrior instead and finds out that doesn't work either-- he's stuck in the middle.
Lotuspaw, a ShadowClan she-cat, talks to her own mother in StarClan. She receives the prophecy, and is told to go to... RiverClan? Why? Because her sister is there. She rejects the idea of being a medicine cat and runs away-- to RiverClan. She spends time with her sister... only to find out her sister is probably up to no good.
These three cats have no idea the clouds brewing above. It is only just the beginning of the darkest storm.
