White rose: a symbolic representation of purity, youthful innocence, and loyalty.
But when a love so toxic begins to rot you out from the inside, the rose bleeds. Its white petals furl out, bleeding out from within.
Life takes time to get back to normal after Althea buries her murdered parents. She lost hope of finding her parents' killers a long time ago, and the police were getting nowhere with the case either. She focused on keeping her family's last bit of the legacy, the farm, alive and thriving, which was slowly losing its meaning without her parents by her side.
The only bit of colour left in her life was the masked travelling merchant, Daniel, who came to the weekly wholesale farm market just to buy all of Althea's fresh produce as the highest bidder. He was a mysterious man of a few words, but she fancied him regardless.
But peace was a word not written in Althea's fate, as something even more dangerous lurked in the shadows. A secret admirer would be the wrong word. He was always in the dark, always watching, her unseen devotee.
Will Althea ever find her parents' killers? Will she get to hold Daniel's hands one day? Or will her life be caged at the very hands of her unseen devotee?
Will her garden of white roses bloom? Or will it bleed out from within?
