Alex likes Angel, Angel still likes Danny and same goes for him. Meanwhile Evan pretends to like Angel even though he really likes Alex.  One more thing that complicates this is about Alex's true nature: A vampire. 
When the group went to England to meet Alex's relatives, they noticed that their manor never had photos only paintings. One more weird thing is that no matter how big the manor is, they can't find even a single mirror. 
Alex didn't want them to know about her identity as a vampire, especially Angel. But the issues between the vampires' races would never leave her alone.
