River used to be a cute little nerd. He would love to read. He always had a book in his hand and if he didn't, then it was in his bag.
River has adored this boy for 3 years. Ever since 7th grade, but he has never been able to talk to him. When James came to Cedar, he was the talk of the school. As soon as he got there, girls were all over him. When River tried to talk to him, he got pushed away from all the people crowding him.
You could see how that could never happen, right? A nerd and a popular boy? That's a tale never to be told. That's exactly why River started to change.
Now, instead of doing his regular, boring habits, he does a lot of partying. It was an unusual change, but people started to love it very quickly. He was friends with lots of people. There were just a few people who he wasn't friends with. The cheerleaders and the nerds. He used to be friends with the nerds, until he got popular.
One day he woke up in a bad mood. Today wasn't a good day. River realized that they only had 1 more week left before it would be 4 years of chasing around this man. He was over it.
He didn't want to see him at all today, but knowing his luck, well, you already know what happend.
On that same day, River admited something shocking.

That's when he finds out that River likes him...
