𝑚𝑖𝑑𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑛 - ❝ he wanted it comfortable, i wanted that pain ❞ ❀❀❀ Celisa and Cordell have been at each other's throats since she first moved to Austin, Texas and their moms became friends. Even just standing somewhere around the teacher and the ranger, it's like watching a tennis match, waiting for the other to hit the ball into the other's court. When Cordell screws up heavily, he's now got no other choice but to open up his home for her to get back onto her feet. But now that they're under the same roof, so many things start coming to realization and just seeing the way she treats his kids firsthand... no. No, no no. Because that's how the world turns. Right?

"I bandaged everything the best I could. It will need stitches. However, I'm afraid that it is broken. Same as your leg. Broken and needs stitches. How's your head feeling? I haven't been able to get that sucker to stop bleeding." His voice sliced through the air. I stare at him, confused, looking around, wanting to be anywhere but here. He clears his throat once again. "Mate, did you hear me?" "How is your head feeling?" I close my eyes. What the fuck? What the fuck? I was angry, annoyed, and frightened. What, mate? What cruel world would make me mate with a wolf? No, no, no... My arm and leg were throbbing intensely. My head was screaming. I brought my fingers up to my head to try and rub the pain away. I needed to leave. Now. I told myself. My mind is still groggy, unable to swiftly move my body like I need to. I didn't even notice I was crying until his voice rang through my ears once again. His footsteps quickly, walking across the hardwood floor. The first book in the series Not very good lol 😆 Completed, still needs editing though let me know what you think!
