10 years have passed since Ash Ketchum became the World Monarch. There have been many challengers that have tried to take his title, but none have been successful. There doesn't seem to be any trainers who are strong enough to defeat him.

Jaydin Silver, a 12 year old boy from the Johto Region, hasn't had the best life. Beaten, neglected and bitter, he believes he is useless to the world. The only thing he finds comfort in is watching his idol, World Monarch Ash Ketchum, and gives him hope that he can be as strong as him someday. Jaydin decides to leave his old life behind and begins his own journey to eventually become strong enough to face his idol and achieve his dream of becoming the next World Monarch.

This is an original story that I've been brainstorming for a while. It will have dark elements in it but will still have many wholesome moments as well. I don't have an upload schedule so chapters will probably come out at random.

Cover art not mine, and the MC kinda looks like that, albeit with some slight differences.

This story doesn't take place in the Our Promise and Our Promise, Our Future universe, so just keep that in mind.
