Wings of Fire Story! READ FIGHT OR DIE FIRST!
5 years after the end of the great war. The rebels had won. Pantala and Pyrrhia are binding together. Silkwings and Leafwings live with the Pyrrhian tribes in peace.
At peace doesn't mean perfect though. Glory struggles raising a child alone. Moon and Qibli are busy with their own child, Sunset.
Peace doesn't usually last though. And if you are the face of the revolution that doesn't exactly mean everyone likes you.
They are faced with a decision that not onlt changed the course of their lives, but everyone's lives.
No one dies in pointless wars now. But the Ice and Fire war was childs play compared to what they face next.

Eight has lived semi-contentedly for years. All she has ever wanted is to find a way she can obtain happiness while fulfilling her duties as a Worker of the AntWing Colony. So far, that plan has been going swimmingly. Which is to say horrible, because as a dragon who's never even seen the sun (let alone a body of water), Eight can't swim. When her section of Workers reaches maturity they are tasked with a new job: one Eight does not agree with. They have to sire a new generation of Workers for the Colony. She and her best friend devise a plan to escape, but that also backfires - this time, more literally than figuratively... --- Even though this story is rated Mature, it is only for the occasional fight scenes which include enough blood and gore to showcase the reality of fighting. There is also implied+referenced non-con due to the structure of one of the tribes' military society. Nothing happens on-screen. Also dragon racism (it's promoted by the military as propaganda to make their soldiers think of their enemies as less than). I bonk character responsible very thoroughly in the sequel! READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION OR YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THE STORY!!! (I'm pretending that the Pantalan Stuff didn't happen because we don't even know how it ends.) There is an assassin out to get Glory, and according to Moon, it ends up killing her and Deathbringer as well, so Glory goes into hiding, tricking everyone in the tribe, including Deathbringer into thinking she is dead, so the assassin will leave Glory's friends and scarce family alone. But to fulfill the trickery, she had to let the married couple Moon and Qibli, as well as Turtle, Kinkajou, and Sunny in on her plan. They are all very good liars, but the question is: Can Glory keep her identity a secret? And if she accidentally reveals, what will become of the future? Sorry to all the WinterWatcher fans out there, promise I'll get to them somehow. CW!! (cringe warning lol) This is really old and was like- my second fanfic, so it's really cringey. Wings of Fire story! My name is Moon. I live in a world where everyone is tested. From the age sixteen to eighteen. In truth, you test yourself everyday the moment you find out what the world has come to. You test youself wondering if you're strong enough, smart enough, or brave enough. But most of all to see if you will do the right thing in the darkest times. Your eighteenth birthday is the biggest day of your life. The day you find out if you will fight, or die. Fear engulfs your body every waking moment, the very thought of death makes people lose hope, and it almost did for me too. And in those final moments, when you really don't know if you will live, you wonder, is dying now worse than living in something you hate so much. Do I live for something I despise?
