In this age being diagnosed quirkless is akin to being sentenced to jail young. Any opportunities, any relationships, any experiences, all ended in one pen stroke before you could even grasp what was going on. Your family is beside you grieving what could've been, your friends who you thought would be beside you through thick and thin suddenly disappearing. Even your main supporters and providers would abandon you. Life passes by in a single breath.
A lot of people would accept their fate at some point before they became an adult. Accept that there's nothing they can do when the whole world's seemingly against them. A lot of people would give up. A lot of people did.
"And you, child, do you understand what your getting yourself into?"

"... And your willing to risk everything?"
She refused to. Wether it was out of some spiteful insecurity or a twisted sense of justice- she wasn't letting the world make her give up. If the world was against her, if that damned backwards hero society was against her, then-

This world had become a superhuman society, with 80% of the world's population having some kind of special trait called quirks. In this world swirling with chaos, the professions that everyone once admired came into limelight. That profession is Heroes. On July 19th, in the city of Houston Texas, a boy with a seemingly bizarre quirk mutation would be born being the first case of a "Dual Quirk User". 15 years later, we would meet this boy as he stared down the gates of U.A This is my first ever written OC story, I'm not a writer, not by a long shot, but I'm doing this for the fun of it

When you get accepted into the nation's top academy to better understand your quirk, you hope it will bring you the answers you've been looking for in life. As an adopted eighteen year old with no memory before your adoption, the questions of your past aren't at the top of the list of things you think you'll discover at college, but little did you know, that was the least of what you'd find. You're the child of a semi-retired and formerly top-ranked professional hero, and are already ahead of a lot of the students who made it into your class, but it becomes apparent that your skills will only give you an edge for a limited amount of time. When recurring and seemingly premonitive nightmares begin plaguing you during the night, you start developing a strange tingling sense for oncoming danger, and villains are starting their campaign against hero society, suddenly attending the academy is a lot more than you were prepared for. Answers are what you need, and you're slowly forced to realize that maybe learning about your past should be much higher on your priority list. Some of the population is different from others and the other 20% are Quirkless. Lucky enough for Kanetsu Yoyume, he and his sister, Mizu, are apart of the 80% with their own Quirks that make them stand out as siblings. With one that has the goal of protecting them both while the other follows his sister, they're on their way to be heroes together. Soon, everything begins to go downhill as Kanetsu and Mizu continue falling down a hole of trouble. Them and the people they've befriended at the school soon need to figure out how to defend themselves...while having to defend others. ----------------------- WARNING! This story is pretty heavy and gets more dark in later chapters.
