Evangeline Bell had been going as a hero under the name of Candour for sixteen years when she finally found people holding the same goal as her, protecting those who couldn't. She first donned her suit at nineteen, finding her powers six years prior and training with them for those six years. She lived a double life, a successful fashion designer by day, hero by night, flaunting a party girl image to those who knew nothing about her.
And it worked.
Until it didn't.
In comes Bruce Wayne, Batman, throwing Evangeline in a whirl and suddenly everything she thought she knew comes crashing down. All because of a man who dressed as a bat with laser focus and the ability to scrutinise and humble people in ways that nobody else did.

Have you ever wondered what it's like being the only Kryptonian on earth without powers? It sucks. I'm Marinette Martha Kent.
