Shivi: tied to his soul

12 parts Ongoing

I made a significant mistake when I turned down Shivi's marriage proposal. It's clear that the future is unpredictable, and anyone has the power to alter their destiny by making positive choices today. Shivi was a vibrant presence, someone with the curiosity and joy of a child. I can acknowledge that I have caused problems in this situation. Even though we aren't married, I consider myself her husband. The real question is, will she see me that way? She's no longer the lively person who would dance around and ask me to marry her. Perhaps that day marked the end of her playful spirit. Shivi was a stranger to me until that fateful incident that shattered her world. It left her broken inside, completely torn apart. The future is a mystery known only to God. However, bringing an angel into my life shouldn't have happened in such a tragic way. After waking up from a coma five days later, the dynamics shifted significantly. From that moment on, no one perceives me as an unmarried man. Everyone assumes she is my wife, and I am her husband. That's perfectly fine with me. The question remains: Can two people live together without formal marriage? Can they truly trust, care for, and support each other without a conventional relationship?
