It is hard enough to be normal in high school, having a secret life as a vampire hunter makes it nearly impossibe. Ashlyn knows how she wants to go through life; during the day she studies for exams, so that she can get into a good college, and hangs out with her friends-- during the night she becomes a shadow and fights for those who can't fight for themselves. Making the predator prey, she deals out justice to those who deserve it... Vampires. Unknown to everyone around her, she goes out into uninhabited neighborhoods and clubs where she knows that creatures of the night are lurking and waiting to strike innocent victims. It is is easy for her to kill them, not feeling any remorse, but what happens when one manages to weasel his way into her life? The two, not knowing what either is, get to know each other and form a bound that might keep her from doing her duty. Will Ashlyn kill him?
