Imagine being sick with a mysterious disease that no one can explain; having only one leg, and not being able to talk. This was the unfortunate fate that Samantha Mitchell fought everyday. She is just an ordinary girl, at the young age of 16, who is bound to her bed, alone with her thoughts, trying to make the most of every moment.
