Eight year old Alexandria Carter never liked anybody. She always fancied herself the most significant person in the world, with little to no regard for anyone else. Some may argue that it was just her way of surviving in the world - being in the offense at all times - but the truth was she was just born that way. Coming from a loving family - an older sister who sorta loved her and supportive parents who accept her nonchalancy and nonsensical behavior - there really was no need for her to be all aggressive and self serving especially when she was surrounded by people who weren't all that bad.

Then, enters eight year old Eliot Rage who was just as bold and daring as she was. With an accent loved by many, the skills of Picasso and an ego the size of Jupiter, he's able to give Alex a run for her money. The two become friends due to Alex's immediate fondness for him the moment they first meet.

Alex and Eliot go through high school together, being admired by many and hated by double the number, all the while butting heads and making up along the way. Alex unknowingly becomes dependent on Eliot, and makes it known to him and everyone who cares to listen that she couldn't live without him. Eliot soon finds himself head over heels for Alex, but due to a misunderstood conversation with Cassandra, Alex's older sister, is forced to go through extreme measures to keep that hidden after discovering that he could never be good enough for her. The distance that Eliot puts between him and Alex causes her to have a breakdown. He promises to never do it again after she stalks him for weeks and corners him at his studio and they reunite. However, on graduation day, Eliot abandons Alex again, leaving her completely shattered, broken and unable to move on with her life.

Cortlyn has always been jealous of Jane and her friendship with Adam, the boy next door. Oscar actually likes having another sister, but he always sides with his twin, he'd never admit to it. And Adam? He loves Jane, like loves, loves Jane, but of course she's completely clueless, after all it is her best friend...her only friend. But the real trouble starts when Jane finally stands up for her self, what's this crazy family going to do to her next?
