Miraculous Mermaids

The deep blue ocean hold many secrets. Such as, mermaids. Now, once upon a time, mermaids weren't a secret, in fact, they were even friends with humans at some point!

The mermaids helped the humans gather food and materials from the ocean. The humans taught them of the world beyond the water and how to make and use weapons.

There was once a time a mermaid and a human fell in love and had a kid, but, that was a very long, long time ago.

War broke out between the two species. No one is sure how it had started. Some say the humans had started it by killing a pod of merbabies, while others say the mermaids started it by singing songs to lure the humans into the waters, and drowned themselves.

Whether or not it was mermaid-hunters, or sirens that started the war, no one cares too much, all they cared about was winning the war.

Generations upon generations had suffered from the war. Many dying or losing loved ones, and many more permanently injured and left disfigured.

Many battles broke out between their own kind. They wanted peace. Tired of fighting, the King of mermaids, and the Queen of the land met at a beach to discuss peace between the two species.

Thousands of years later and the new King of Atlantis still enforced the rules of the treaty, anyone caught breaking them would be sentenced to five to ten years in the dungeons, depending on the severity of the crime.

The new King of the humans (at least the ones with that kingdom) also enforced the treaty. But, there was a rebellion going on within the human world that would shake the foundation of everything, and it all start with three mermaids' curiosity.

ALSO!!! This story will have some elements from The little mermaid, so in case I need to state this, I do NOT own The little mermaid.

Are previous Miraculous characters (within the school) are 17, expect for Zoe, she's 16!
