It all started in 1941 when Winnie Foster, a sweet, hopeless romantic bookworm, runs into a young James Buchanan Barnes just weeks before he is set to go to war. One moment leads to a domino effect chain reaction of moments that will mold Winnie into a new woman. Her whole life as she knows it is about to change in ways she never imagined possible.
This is the first book in a trilogy that makes up the story of Winnie Fosters life. This book takes place starting in 1941 and follows her life through the year 1998.
