------------------------------

"Please, don't leave Theo-" she couldn't hold in the tears anymore, as she felt them dripping down on her pink cheeks. "Don't leave me, I need you." She whispered continuing to look up at the tall boy she cared for so much.

She felt her heart slowly breaking with every minute that passed.

She knew that it was the right thing to do, but she couldn't let him go. She was selfish, yet she didn't care. She didn't care that it wasn't safe for him here anymore. She knew that she couldn't live without him.

In that very moment she felt like dying.

"Come with me Vera, run away with me love-" his insides wrenched at the sight of the crying girl.

Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Please love.

It broke him. Being the reason she cried. He never made her cry. He was the one always comforting her.

He knew she couldn't leave. Not now.
But he couldn't stay. He begged her, he made her choose. As cruel as it seemed, he made her choose. Him or her family. He knew she couldn't choose, that it was the cruelest thing he's done yet, but he needed her. Like he needed air, even more than that.

She shook her head, her long hair settling on her shoulders. "I can't leave them. I can't-" She started weeping allowing her forehead to rest on his warm chest, as his hands brought her even closer to him.

She would miss his warmth. The way he made her feel safe. Him.

"Raven, listen! Listen to me! We can still fix this, just... don't go yet, okay? Let me help you, love. Please, Raven! I love you!" Raven did not turn around to face Hermione. Instead, she looked straight ahead, her hand that was gripping her wand burned from her nails clawing into her palm. She couldn't dare turn her back to look at Hermione, knowing that once those tearful eyes locked with her own... She'd return into her loving embrace without a second thought and everything she had done up until this point would have been for nothing. And despite how much she never wanted it to come to this, despite how her own heart beats for Hermione Granger and her alone, she knew what she had to do. "Then, you're even more pathetic than I thought." Raven forced her voice to remain steady. Emotionless, as she broke two hearts in that moment. "How could you ever believe that I would love a filthy Mudblood like you?" And with that, Raven walked out of the empty classroom, shutting the door behind her. She stayed frozen there for a moment, listening to the gasping sobs that escaped Hermione's lips from behind the door. The lip that she had been biting had long since drew blood trying to contain her own burning lump in her throat. "I'm sorry, Darling." Raven whispered under her own breath. "Forgive me." And as soon as the first tear fell from her own eyes, she walked away from the door, so Hermione wouldn't hear her own sobs escaping her as she walked towards the uncertain future, longing for Hermione's sweet embrace with every step she took.

[ completed ] Draco Malfoy is a womaniser. He never cares for the girls that he messes around - doesn't blink an eye when they confess their love for him, never flinches as they cry when they catch him fooling around with the next best thing. Theodore Nott believes the line has been crossed when Draco hooks up with Theo's life-long crush, and he and Blaise Zabini decide it's time Draco is humbled a little bit. Cue Rowan Yaxley. Rowan despises Draco and the way he treats women; she makes this fact very clear to Draco every single day. The only time she will willingly speak to him is during prefect rounds or quidditch practices. However, when Theo and Blaise approach her with an idea to give Draco a taste of his own medicine, Rowan has to rethink her rule of never getting with Draco Malfoy. Rowan has until the end of the year to break Draco Malfoy's heart - assuming that he has one, of course - and that she doesn't end up falling for his tricks herself. how to be a heartbreaker | draco malfoy draco malfoy x fem!oc seventh year (doesn't follow original hp plot) harry potter series
