But something's.. off. Not off, but.. off? It's everything that Sid's worked for, they deserve this, but.. it's just off.
It doesn't help that it's back. The.. feeling. It's back. It's not good. It feels worse.

A Tale of Mischief and Mutants
When Samantha a mutant and X-man is rescued from her captors by S.H.I.E.L.D she finds comfort from an unlikely source. This story follows the relationship between my OC Samantha Howlett and everyone's favorite Jotun Loki Odinson. This is an AU where the X-men have existed in the MCU since the very beginning they are involved in the events that take place in the MCU such as the battle of New York and other "Avengers level threats." In this AU Thor Ragnarok goes down slightly differently with Thor loosing his hammer when he falls from the bifrost instead of it being broken by Hela. He finds it later and figures out its no match for Hela. Thor then goes to forge Stormbreaker which is also not strong enough and he's forced to allow Ragnarok to take place. Thanos is killed prior to 2018 so he never gets the infinity stones and most of the events in Infinity War and Endgame do not occur. In this AU Spider-Man has a public identity now and everyone's knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man. He didn't flip out like he does in the movies because Tony is there to help him through it. Magic works slightly differently than it does in the movies because I wrote this before some of the rules with it were established and it's too late to change it now for story reasons. There are also other differences that luckily can be explained away via the multiverse. Though I try to draw a lot of inspiration from the main MCU timeline and work with the continuity that gives me it's not always possible to do because of how this story needs to play out. TRIGGER WARNINGS: Strong language, violence, some sexual content (honestly not much more than a PG-13 movie would show) mentions and descriptions of physical abuse and sexual abuse. It features way better writing than this one, trust me. 2024: The American military suspects World War III due to missile attacks from Russia all across Australia, Europe, and Canada. In an effort to aid the American military, scientists at Area-51 created animals with human characteristics, incredible speed, strength, agility, ect. They even have sentience. The humans dubbed these creatures 'Anthros'. No human could beat one in hand-to-hand combat. Not even the best person at close quarters combat. 2025: Two things would change the fate of the world as we know it. Those being that missile attacks were becoming more and more frequent. And the anthros were starting to rebel. Thus, starting the war. The anthros turned on their own squads, wiping almost all military members out. The anthros formed a military, with one goal. Extinguish humanity and take over earth. The last remaining humans in the military are fighting against anthros for their survival. Earth is practically hell at this point if you live on it. The human military in other continents has either been taken out by anthros, or the Russians. The Human Canadian Military moves down to the United States in an attempt to aid them, and to end this war once and for all. But one human soldier stands out from the rest after taking an experimental item... After this soldier is betrayed and lost, with no other option, joins the anthro military in an attempt to get his hands on the person who betrayed him. He'll do anything and kill anyone in his way to get to them and end this war. Even his own species. This soldier's name is Falcon. (12/14/2022): OMG the book reached 100K reads!!!! That makes me so happy! I started this book back in February after the movie came out, and now I'm finally finishing it! That was a goal of mine for a while.
