***WARNING*** This book contains poems of a very dark and emotional nature! If you or anybody you know suffers from depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or any other signs of mental illness or life threatening symptoms PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF YOURSELF AND OTHERS get help from someone you can trust!! I most certainly am here for anybody who needs to vent or find support.
These are poems (old and new) from my experience and personal struggle with many emotional and terrible things including the monster we know as depression. These poems are by no way meant to influence anybody in any way - they are simply my coping mechanism.

These monsters in my head are my friends, not my enemies like people seem to think. I don't have a mental problem like my father seems to think. I'm not a freak like my brother thinks. And most importantly, I'm not dead. Why am I not dead? I deserve to die. I'm not worthy of the breath that fills my lungs. I should be dead. But I'm not. And there is only one reason why.Completa

jayden was always throwing a party at his and marcos shared house. every time they'd see a small brunette, she was always off by herself and never came with anyone. marcos gave her the name party girl after seeing her every time they threw a party. one night marcos saw party girl passed out on one of his couches, a group of guys watching her weird. marcos steps in and takes the brunette up to his room and took care of her until she came back to her senses. what he didn't know is that his gesture didn't only save her from that group of guys, but also her abusive home life. ------ this book has very dark themes, implied incest and rape that is bought up a few times throughout the book. this is my first time writing something this dark, but if you aren't triggered by those themes i'd really appreciate if you just gave the book a chance!Completa

Emotional Amnesia
Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say, "I know you're not". I have felt like this many times in my life; as a kid, teenager and as an adult. I have seen many things in my life and felt even more things that has been horribly depressing... But I got up. I stood up to walk on for another day. I dealt with my emotional amnesia the only way I knew I could and that was by writing it out into poetry. I wanted to forget my pain and forget what I was going through. I needed that cut of the blade or a pill to drink to take everything away. My poetry became both my pill and my blade... Now I share the most intimate part of myself with the world. The part of me I kept hidden in the closet. The part I never thought I would ever present to the world. Now is the time I have to stop having amnesia about my emotions. It is time to learn, to better myself and to stand up and remember the things that I shut out like a voluntary amnesia all these years. Those who are offended after reading this - f**k you! If you are sad with me and willing to cut your wrist - I know how you feel! Difficult Times (Jemily)
(I wrote this story when I was in 8th grade so don't hate me for it, I know it's pretty bad but I was proud of it. So just warning you.)
