5 years after the defeat of Ryuko's and Satsukis mother, Ryuko wanders around Tokyo, looking for answers as to why her mother took a drastic turn. Honnoji academy has only changed the uniforms now, student only wearing regular clothes go on to their normal classes. Satsuki still reigns as student council president, and not much has changed.
