This is a prequel to my other story known as Futuristic world (Furry x human). I HIGHLY recommend reading that story first before this one, otherwise this story will make zero sense at all. Also if you don't really like the first story, then you probably won't care about this one anyways.
This story will follow Dome and his backstory before he met Y/N in Futuristic world. This way you can get to know Dome from my original story a little bit more.
I do not own any of the art used in this story. credit goes to the original and talented artist. The art used for Dome (The protogen in the book cover) was created by GoldApollo. He has more protogen art, and I highly checking out some of his art.

Dome... He is a simple protogen with a sense of humor. He's a man with his own flaws, just like everyone else, but he has a weird way of seeing the positive of everything... Well... Not everything.
Dome's bestie known as Conner lost his wife and reluctantly started taking therapy after Dome, the good friend that he is, forced him to. Conner makes small improvements overtime... Until one day where the downward spiral for both Conner and Dome begins.
Conner loses his last bit of family left.. his daughter.. to a mysterious killer who manages to hide his trace. Conner, now seeking any kind of closure, loses his mind. Finally reaching a breaking point and blaming Dome for everything. Threatening to kill him for what he had done.
Dome, despite feeling guilty, doesn't give up hope. He will do what the police couldn't, and find whoever killed the daughter of who used to be his best friend, but is now hunting him all around Night Glow City, and never stopping until Dome is dead.
Dome has to get to the bottom of this murder mystery himself... But little does know what he will go through, or the other downward spiral that he will find himself going down afterward.

A psychological horror about identity, survival, and the fragile line between childlike innocence and something darker. In this world, it is just as messy. Oh! Did I get your attention? Nice. Sorry if that was a word salad to you, but I have to catch you from the crowd somehow. The story centers around Conner. A broken golden retriever furry. He searches for simple physiological needs and steps up the pyramid to find himself in a broken world with nothing but rubble and all sorts of company. Say that sentence in one breath. Conner ventures out in the vast enclosed environment while trying to get a sense of his past, present, and future. The world is in ruins, from mysterious entities that nobody has the answer for their origin. Or, perhaps, nobody has the guts to look deeper. In this adventure, it has trauma, drama, comedy, oddities, tears, fears, death, and romance! You can't rhyme with that now, can you? Every chapter adds a puzzle on the piece. Revealing the big picture, or at least, half of it. This is heavily based on First Person POV, and how the story is dictated is biased upon Conner's interpretation. A combination of Science Fiction and Fantasy that embraces the bizarre, and is wrapped in mystery with some aspects of horror. 2020 Author's Notes are available in the comments. I highly recommend reading the chapters first! 2024 Author's Note: This story has been cancelled, and is due to be rewritten. Many aspects may likely change in the future, though. I originally took down this story because I disliked the universe I'd set up as well as the execution of the story itself, and intended on doing a reimagining. That second take came and went, burning myself out over struggles to pace it well thanks to its highly unusual and experimental structure. This story was also taken down to prevent some of the events that occurred later in it from spoiling the latter parts of "Redwater Riot." That said, I feel like it would be a good idea to rerelease this story as a sort of museum work, a way to look at what my writing was back then and how it has changed over time. I don't intend on finishing "Polaris Garden," though I do intend on a rewrite in a later "Imperial Reach: Awakening." Something much closer to what this was than what I'd done before.
