On a distant plain, two beings are guarded with looking over humans who are stuck at a crossroads: the moment between Life and Death. They can't affect the choice, or change the future, but they may be able to teach you something.
Short story I wrote for a competition recently. I didn't win anything (although one of my best friends did!), but thought that I should at least place it on here! I've gotten some mixed reviews so far, so I'm interested to see what everyone thinks! A forewarning: if you have any questions about the plot, please please please scan through the story again before asking. I've included most anything you need to know in there somewhere as a small detail, so check first! If you've still got any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer as soon as I'm able.

This is a full length novel I wrote between the years of 2014-2017, my writing style has been all over the place through those years since I started writing it since I was 15 and ended it when I was 18. I wanted to show the story to the world but I know it isn't good enough to be properly published since there is plenty of spelling errors and for some reason 15 year old me was trying to write as edgy as possible. So my outlook on how this story is as changed I think it's very mediocre as I am now and kinda of just wanted it to end. The experiment.
They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. That's why they call me: Death -----------------------------------------************************************--------------------------------------------- Death. A teen girl, pitch black hair, black eyes, white skin. Her height is 5'8. People are scared of her, not just because of her strength but because of they way she kills. She lived in this hell hole, where they take her to rooms. Examine. Fight. She knows she won't be able to entertain them for long. She decides to run. Soul. Brown hair as mud, blue eyes as the sky. Hight 6'2. Tanned and toned body. Death's best friend in the hell hole they're in, he's as cold as she is. But shows a bit of sympathy. Well... More than her at least. He's been there for her, ever since she entered this place of crap. They're the two most feared. As some people say, they're a perfect couple. Killing. Fighting. Cold hearted creatures. It wasn't my fault
This is a novella I had to write for school and I would like some feed back. EXCERPT Pain is something I've become very accustomed to. Whether I like it or not. It sounds mental though, I know. My biggest fear is being alone, even though I already am. As I walk into the school I see them, my 'friends'. They're sitting in the quad all chatting to one another. I try to turn around before one sees me but I see one waving me over so I'm left with no choice but to go. "Hey guys" I greet them with a shaky voice. the gem of Thunder #1: the quest begins
My friend at school told me he was writing a book called this but didn't know what it was going to be about, so I said "why don't we both write a version of it and then compare them to see what we each did differently," so this is it! This story is about a man called max who dies in an accident and finds himself on a giant spaceship. Where a select few go to look eternally for the gem of thunder, and nobody has obtained it yet.
