Set the summer after the events of 'It's Not Three Inches With You', 'When Friendship Becomes Forever' is a story of summer romance and friendship. Hopper, Billy and Max are still alive, the mall is still there and there are no evil Russians (or Vecna) everyone is still living in Hawkins and the Upside Down exists but there are no supernatural issues once again :)

Hawkins, Indiana, 1986. El Hopper has had one hell of a year. Last summer she went on a trip to California and returned dating her female best friend. Since then, she and her girlfriend Max have lost most of their connection with the boys excluding Will who is now El's brother, following the marriage of Joyce and Hopper. The two girls are now best friends with the only other lesbian couple in Hawkins; Nancy Wheeler and Robin Buckley. This summer is one of love, chaos, and friendship and when everything spirals out of control, the four girls will discover just how important their friendships are.All Rights Reserved
