The city of Einschester was assaulted by monsters, as Riven and Sonja woke up to the smell of smoke and blood. In the aftermath of the assault which took out a large portion of the outer city, the royalty forced all the peasants and commoners to go hunt down as many monsters as they could in the name of the Einchester royal family. Riven and Sonja, lifelong friends, are forced to work with a boy named Darryl, who's undying affection for his home can get quite annoying at times.
