Bridge to Terabithia is a 2007 fantasy drama film directed by Gabor Csupo and written by Jeff Stockwell. It is based on the novel by Katherine Paterson and the first installment of the Bridge to Terabithia franchise.

The life of an adolescent boy named Jess Aarons (Josh Hutcherson, "The Hunger Games" and "Five Nights at Freddy's") changes when he befriends a young fantasizing class outsider girl named Leslie Burke (AnnaSophia Robb, "Soul Surfer" and "Rebel Ridge") and a heroic boy named Calvin Anderson (Caleb Law, "Bridge to Terabithia" and "Euphoria"). Together, they create an imaginary world called Terabithia, which is inhabited by all manner of magical creatures. Though difficulties fill their ordinary lives, Jess and Leslie rule as king and queen in Terabithia, as well with Calvin as the captain. Soon one of the friends must draw on the strength of their imaginary kingdom to cope with a tragedy.
