The story revolves around a North-Indian boy and a South-Indian girl, Raman and Ishita. Raman is responsible for caring for Mihir's business and children after the latter's demise, though he doesn't have experience. Raman supports himself and his family through his business. Ishita, on the other hand, gets pushed into marriage. However, she resists and moves out of the house. Samar, Sahir, and Vidya give her refuge and build a bond with her.
On the other hand, Raman gets forced to marry Kamolika, which threatens his business. Will Raman & Ishita ever confess their love? Will Vishwanath agree to this alliance?
