Kristina has run away from her mother and father after being abused by them, and watching them beat the dog to death. She runs into the main woods, where she finds a lake and stays there for 2 days. Hayes Grier soon finds Kristina at the lake sitting all by herself. Hayes goes and talks to Kristina, she shows the sign of being scared and lost, Hayes asks if she has a place where she is staying, she did not so kristina evens up living with Hayes.
