"The Sumerian tale of the bird Enzo tells of a bird which once dared to steal the tablets of destiny from the chief deity Enlil. This was a great incident since the bird Enzo took the tablets of destiny and the fate of people with which Enzo could obtain the ultimate power of the universe and of the other deities. Therefore, the deities convened and assigned deity Nanorta to assassinate this dissident bird using a poisoned arrow to be shot from her fire bow"

 This tale is always replayed by the kings' actions to the point of infatuation. The Assyrian Kings of Nineveh imprinted Enzo's head on the handles of swords as shown by the drawings of their walls. They wanted to symbolically say that the Assyrian King's sword is unlimited by time or space to subjugate everything to his ultimate power. It is indeed the legendary unbeatable sword. 

This myth reflects the power of symbolism employed by the inhabitants of Mesopotamia to control the minds of both followers and enemies, and it tells us again that this land knows very well how to draw its destiny.
