(This story is split between Alice and her best friend Chris) There are some things people expect when they move to a new town or state. Like new people, friends, schools, rules, or laws. Even stupid little things like worrying about how people will act around you, whether teachers are mean or whether you're going to be alone. Well when I moved to the small town of Twilight Creek, I never expected to find what I found. Never expected to do what I did. My name is Alice Smith; I'm a sophomore in high school. And this is my story. When I met her for the first time, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had secrets that I could never share with anyone. I didn't fit in my parents' world or hers. I was alone in almost every sense of the word, but with her, the loneliness was more like background noise. I am a Sophomore in high school. She knows me as Chris Jace Darkwood; In my parents' world, I was known as Christopher Jace Darkwood, the Prince of Night. And this is my story.

Madeline Pierson was just an ordinary girl forced to move all the way across the country. She's dreading to start a new high school in the middle of the semester. However, school goes much better than planned when she meets a caring boy named Matt. Madeline begins receiving various creepy and unsettling threats from an anonymous source. Ripped from the comfort of her home, she is taken captive by the man who makes her life a living hell. Matt is determined to find her, no matter what it takes. Him and his friends, Dylan and Taylor, devise a plan and set out to find her. Will she survive? Will she ever be found? *** I pushed myself to my feet and tried to run as fast as I possibly could. I saw the woods ahead and knew I just had to make it into the thick trees. As I was only a few yards away from freedom, I felt an excruciating pain in my hip, causing me to collapse. I screamed out in agony and clutched my hip. There was a rock, stained with blood, that lay next to me. I saw a pair of oncoming rubber boots in the distance. I began to cry hysterically as I knew my freedom was short lived. "You! I thought you would cooperate!" the kidnapper screamed. I looked up at his furious face and gasped in horror as I saw a whip in his hand. "I should've never trusted you. You are my daughter, you stay with me. I love you baby, you can't run away from me!" he screamed as he raised the whip and came down on my back with unfathomable force. Cover made by @kandtforever
