Phoebe reed is a 24  year old woman who lives on her own with her dog archer. Both of her parents are dead and she has no siblings but she does have Maggie and her dog but something in her always craves for something more.
but phoebe is not good at making friends mostly because she never lets anyone in she has built her wall so high on a few people can knock i down. and when she does let people past her wall she will do anything to protect them from harm.

When the world ends she and archer take refuge at Maggie and her family's farm.  She lives on the farm for 3 months until a man with his injured son that has been shot changes her life forever.

could she find that family that she has always wanted.

When she meets the group taking shelter at the farmhouse, will she run away? Is her need for a true family stronger than her loyalty to her abusive father?
