It didn't take Tom Riddle long to realise how manipulative Albus Dumbledore is. He was always aware of the fact that he had been lied to. His biological father gave up on magic and his son in his early 20's.
He was lucky enough to make it to the Slytherin house. Being surrounded by other purebloods taught him not only the right manners but also the dynamics of the average pureblood family.
The 1940s were truly mysterious years for the magical world because there weren't enough women. Previous generations only desired male heirs and often gave up their daughters. There are now seven times more men than women in this generation. The population is rapidly decreasing and that's why the English Ministry of Magic decides to slow down time. One year in England is equal to 20 anywhere else (= 1 year is 240 months). Sadly, one of the wizards fucked up and people are still ageing the same.
