In a dreary post-war society, Martha, a humble woman, discovers an estate that nobody is interested in. When she and her husband try to claim it for themselves, a ghostly secret is revealed and makes Martha pay a high price that is both curse and salvation.

This novella is a conglomeration of short stories, divided into 4 chapters. Chapters 1 and 3 are currently being published as self-contained short stories.
