Aimi "Amy" Carter was born in the USA to a single mother, Erica, who later moved them to Japan after two years. After three years of living in Japan, Erica married Rin Shimizu, father of Kiyoko Shimizu. Aimi was then given Haruto's last name and they moved in with Kiyoko and Haruto. 

Aimi was still learning the correct pronunciations of some Japanese words, which would lead her to get bullied by some of the kids around her. Although she had Kiyoko there to protect her, Kiyoko wasn't able to always be with her due to them being in different years. 

That's when she met him at the ripe age of nine years old. Tobio Kageyama, the boy who defended her from bullies on the playground one day. Though it might've seemed like not a big deal to him, it was a hell of a big deal to Aimi, the young girl then forming a crush on him and declaring to marry him one day.

The blue haired boy only responded with one word and emotionless expression on his face. "Okay." Before offering to help get the sand out of her hair for her. From that moment on Aimi knew Kageyama was the one she wanted to be with forever, or at least that's what younger her thought.

As she and Kageyama grew older and drifted apart, she started to realize that it was all just sandbox love and a stupid promise that would never come true.All Rights Reserved
