The USS Franklin, CV-13, An Essex class aircraft carrier forever left in infamy for the horrendous casualties the Aircraft carrier would suffer from 2 Japanese bombs on March 19th striking one after another in vital compartments of the Carrier. On October 1st 1964, Big Ben would be struck from the US Naval Vessel Roster, About 19 and a half years after its tragic end to its wartime service. Instead of USS Franklin beginning scrapping on the 27th of July, the Hulk of USS Franklin in a freak accident on the 2nd of October would be swept to open ocean from a North Atlantic Storm breaking mooring lines and leading to the ship Disappearing to never be seen again.
