This is to help me edit my story and fix things up! Just to clear that up.

Before I describe it, I have a few pointers. One, this is not yet finished. I started working on this book December of 2022. It is only halfway done, so do not expect an ending for the time being. Two, this might get published one day, but I am not so sure. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated before editing. I am a young writer, so some vocab/descriptions could be off, my apologies.
Now onto the description!:

This game happens every few years, the generations of new born children taking the responsibility. 40 people under the age of 25 are selected every new game. They must take the challenge before returning, allowing a final choice. Some people get notified years before, some way after. Typically a fourth back out, and another fourth of the contestants die. But once you are in...
there's no going back.

Filled with many different perspectives, bound to death would be a good read if you're into murder scenarios or gruesome betrayals. Anyhow, please give any necessary feedback, I'll try to update every week.

What Game Will You Play von Bri-Bunny225
37 Kapitel Abgeschlossene Geschichte
The New World has been the last peaceful and resourceful country for nearly two hundred years. Or at least that's what they say. Samantha Ivory has been living a boring average life in an old town with lots of history. That is, until the news of a carnival coming to town ignites new excitement. This carnival promises a night of fun for everyone. There are games, promising rewards, and food that no one has ever seen or tasted before. But what if this carnival isn't what it seems to be? And who are these people that have come into her town? Can Sam figure it out before it's too late, or will she get stuck playing a game she never wanted to play? (Currently completed as of October 2023, and finished editing as of March 2024) *****Excerpt***** Excerpt: Instead of seeing myself standing in front of me, there is somebody else and it's not my brother or anyone I know. A boy no older than me is just standing there, he is wearing a gray shirt with a hole in the shoulder and it has a handful of stains and dirt spots on it. I immediately know he is not from Treegrass. Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. I regain my composure and look at him again. That's when he says something that makes my blood run cold. "Run."

I woke up in a room I didn't recognize, my fingers tracing the rough fabric of a bedspread that wasn't mine. The air was thick with something unfamiliar, and every small difference in the space set off alarm bells in my head. My heart raced as I scrambled for the door-locked. Panic clawed at my chest. Then he appeared in the doorway, his smile crooked, his eyes dark with intent. He spoke no words, but his presence alone screamed danger. Every exit was sealed. Every attempt to call for help met with eerie dismissals from voices that seemed in on the nightmare. And as he handed me a letter-a love note scrawled in childish handwriting-I realized this wasn't just a kidnapping. It was something far worse. I don't know who he is. I don't know what he wants. But I do know one thing: I need to escape before it's too late.
